Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is a playback vocalist actor, actress and musician. Her main work is as musician and performer for Tamil and Malayalam language films. She made her acting debut in Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam and made her Malayalam debut with Annayum Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah grew up in an Anglo-Indian family in Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Andrea's father was an attorney at the Madras High Court lawyer. Andrea is the youngest sibling of the researcher assistant in Leuven, Belgium. Jeremiah has a family in the vicinity of Chennai She graduated from National Public School before graduating from Women's Christian College. Jeremiah has stated that she was an avid geek and was psychiatrist once she had completed her 12th board exams.Andrea began studying classical piano when she was just eight. She performed in The Jackson Five style troupe Young Stars at age 10. This group formed the foundation for her music and singing career. In her college, she was also a theater artist and performed in numerous stage productions organised through The Madras Players. She was the President of the Student Senate at Women's Christian College. Andrea's career in theatre began with Girishkarnad Nagamandala. In 2006, she appeared in a new leo advertisement along with actor Shiva. She was also in an episode that was telecast on Podhigai. Her performances have been all over India. She played a minor role on the Kanda Mudhal finale (2005). She performed a number of songs for Gautham Vasudev's Vettaiyaadu. The director asked her to be one of his main female characters in Pachaikili Muthucharam. This film was a film adaptation of James Siegel's novel Derailed with Andrea acting as Kalyani a homemaker whose husband has an affair with her and then is targeted by a blackmailer. Andrea was chosen for the role following actresses Simran Shabana as well as Tabu were offered the role. The film debuted in the beginning of 2010. In the beginning of 2010, she was cast in a minor role for Venkat's Mankatha in 2011 which featured a variety of actors. Annayum Rasoolum which is a romance film produced by Rajeeev R. that was released in 2013, marked her Malayalam debut.
